This coffee comes from Shiviwaka co-op in Tanzania which is one of the finest African coffees. The node is sweet vanilla and coconut with a hint of honeydew melon. The sweetness continues on the palate when the vanilla aroma is joined by the flavour notes of rich chocolate and melted butter. Often referred to as Turkish coffee, this finely ground coffee requires a special burr mill. Middle Eastern coffee is ground much more finely (in fact, it is pretty much pulverized into a powder) and is prepared differently than other coffees. The grinds are boiled in water (often with sugar and sometimes cardamom) and then poured unfiltered into demitasse cups. We regularly prepare a fine selection of specially ground coffee, some with added cardamom. If you enjoy the distinct pleasure of Middle Eastern coffee, you’ll appreciate Montana’s exceptionally fresh, finely ground coffee.
