This coffee comes from Shiviwaka co-op in Tanzania which is one of the finest African coffees. The node is sweet vanilla and coconut with a hint of honeydew melon. Often referred to as Turkish coffee, this finely ground coffee requires a special burr mill. Middle Eastern coffee is ground much more finely (in fact, it is pretty much pulverized into a powder) and is prepared differently than other coffees. The grinds are boiled in water (often with sugar and sometimes cardamom) and then poured unfiltered into demitasse cups. We regularly prepare a fine selection of specially ground coffee, some with added cardamom. If you enjoy the distinct pleasure of Middle Eastern coffee, you’ll appreciate Montana’s exceptionally fresh, finely ground coffee.

Honey method coffee’s are prized for their clarity and vibrant notes. Removing all of the cherry prior to drying allows the intrinsic flavors of the bean to shine without anything holding them back. Fruit notes are still found in washed coffees, however, fermented notes and berry notes are less common.
